Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can. You sign in with an email address and nothing else. We do not run advertising, we do not use third-party analytics or tracking pixels, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone. What we do keep is described below, honestly, including the parts people usually gloss over.

Your email address. It is the only thing you give us to create an account, and it is how we send sign-in codes and links. We store it only once you have verified it.

A display name. We generate one for you automatically. It is the name attached to any message you send a studio, and you can change it.

What you watch. Your watch history, how long you watched, where you stopped so you can resume on another device, the titles you like, and your watch-later list.

What you search for. If you are signed in, we keep your recent searches so the search bar can offer them back to you. You can remove any of them, or clear the whole list, from the search bar itself. We keep them for 90 days.

Sign-in and device information. For each signed-in device we keep the browser or headset it identifies as, when it signed in and when it was last used, so you can recognise it and sign it out. We also keep limited technical information about the connection, which we use to protect accounts from abuse.

Viewing records. When a title is played we record which title it was and how much of it was watched, together with technical information such as the network address the request came from. These records are how the studios whose titles you watch are paid, and our evidence if a payment is queried.

Messages you send to a studio about one of its videos, and which video each one was about. These are private: we pass them to the studio and never publish them on the Service.

To sign you in and keep you signed in; to stream video and remember where you left off; to show your history, likes and watch-later list; to run paid memberships and pay the studios whose titles you watched; to detect abuse, account sharing and fraud; and to meet our legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, ours is: performing our contract with you (running the Service), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, paying our licensors), and compliance with legal obligations.

We use no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking pixels, so there is nothing here to consent to or opt out of. That is why you are not asked to accept cookies when you arrive.

What we do store falls into two kinds. Essential storage keeps you signed in and records that you confirmed your age, so we do not ask again. Preference storage remembers small choices you make, such as the layout of the sidebar.

A sign-in expires if you stop using it, and in any case after a maximum period. Clearing your browser storage removes all of it and signs you out.

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services we need to run the platform:

• Our email provider delivers your sign-in codes and links, and therefore handles your email address.
• Our content delivery network delivers the video. As with any content network, it receives the network address of the device requesting a stream.
• Our payment processor handles paid memberships. Card details go to them, not to us: we never see or store your card number.
• The studios whose videos we licence receive any message you choose to send them about one of their videos, together with your display name and which video it was about. They do not receive your email address.

We may also disclose information where the law compels us to, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

We keep each kind of information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. Sign-in codes are short-lived and are deleted once they expire or are used. Records kept for security are deleted once they are no longer useful for that purpose, and a sign-in is removed once it expires.

Your recent searches are deleted after 90 days, or sooner if you clear them yourself. Your account details, watch history, likes and the messages you have sent to studios are kept while your account is open. Records that support payments to the studios we licence from are kept for as long as those payment, accounting and dispute obligations require.

Devices. Your account page lists every signed-in device. You can sign out one, or all of them at once.

Watch history. You can remove a single title or clear your whole history. Doing so takes it out of your account and deletes your saved playback positions. Be aware that the underlying viewing record described in section 2 is not removed by this, because it is the record the studio is paid on. If you want those erased too, email us and ask.

Likes and lists. You can remove anything from your liked or watch-later lists at any time. A message you have already sent to a studio cannot be recalled, in the same way an email cannot; ask us and we will delete our copy.

Access, correction and deletion. Email [email protected] to get a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or have your account and its data deleted. We handle these requests by hand and will respond within 30 days. Tell us the email address you sign in with so we can find the account.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, but we keep what we hold deliberately small.

The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, email [email protected] and we will delete the account.

Parents and guardians can restrict access to adult sites using tools such as the RTA label, which this site publishes, along with parental controls built into most operating systems, browsers and headsets.

We operate from Ontario, Canada. Our email and content-delivery providers process data in the United States and at content-network locations worldwide, so your information may be transferred outside your country. We rely on the providers’ standard contractual protections for those transfers.
